Del.icio.us for code snippets

I recently discovered Snippets. This is really fun, think of del.icio.us but for code snippets! And yet it's powered by Ruby on Rails which is à la mode ;)

Though it's not yet as complete as del.icio.us it's a must-have! Check out my (currently empty) snippets user-space :)

This clearly show the wrong use of tags.. Take for example "Linux", you will find snippets about "Delete old Rails sessions". This has nothing to deal about Linux but Ruby.

I really think, this way of tagging is great for the cathedral, but when you want to find something, be sure you gonna miss some interesting ones because people use wrong tags, or worst too much tags.

Tags remind me first version of Altavista, you find 10 Bilions results but the best one it the latest. I think tag users should read the Google book. And learn how you can organise stuffs ..

Bye Bye..

i agree with you. But you can't make people's brain work all the same way. You will never find 2 persons organizing their stuff the same way but you'll always be able to find at least one who organize things mostly like you do.

Tags are by definition subjective but they are really interesting to see how people work. Besides i found great links on del.icio.us i would never have cared about before, it's a awesome place to find people having the same interests as you and discover new things.
